Joeva

Joeva Report 2 Aug 2015 18:25

Well, it looks like you have been hacked ......... delete your Facebook account and re-join with a change to your original application ......

AnnCardiff Report 2 Aug 2015 18:11

well a guy called Dan Kimber just responded to me after I told him I had not made any request to be friends - think he's in USA - he can't work it out either

Island, It is a genuine looking email saying Ann wants to be friends. It does look as though your account has been hacked Ann, I am hoping that because I accepted the request, people are not going to start getting requests from me.

another two just rolled in - one has a name using letters from what seems to be the Russian or Greek alphabet

I get those too Island 'In people you might know'...... other than that I have friends requests posted direct to my status..... at the moment I have five people that are distant cousins in Canada that my brother has as 'friends'........

In the past I have had requests from people that are on my groups on Facebook and always reply that my account is only available to my friends and family......... everyone has been understanding and acceptable ....

The only 'strangers' I get are people asking to be contacts on my Skype account ...... these are blocked pronto !

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 2 Aug 2015 16:59

and another two - all he latest have unpronounceable names

they are confirming my request to be friends :-S :-S

Island Report 2 Aug 2015 16:32

Ann, are you sure they aren't just FB suggestions? 'People you might know'?

When ever I get those I just click repeately on the cross in the top right corner on any of them - it only takes a minute or so - and they disappear.
More will pop up another day :-| but just ignore or get shot.

Ann Cardiff, wasn't it you who said to Wend 'nice one Wend'? :-S

sure looked to me like all the insinuating was being done by somebody who wasn't Errol Sheep ...

I don't usually have any notion what's going on when I look at this board from time to time, but sometimes things are just a little plain on their face

It's fine to be able to 'make time to see and spend time' with loved ones - if they are near enough and one is well enough! If that isn't the case, then FB is a wonderful way to stay in touch.

My son and family have gone on holiday today, but I know I will get to know and see what they are up to and that they are okay.

It's also a great way to stay in touch with friends from on here who have now left this site. :-D

Yes, well said Ann. I happened to see my youngest daughter last evening, my eldest daughter last weekend and I shall be seeing my son on Monday. We are all very close and see eachother as much as possible. In between times, I also chat to them on Facebook :-D

i only really stay there because my son posts pictures and videos of the grandchildren almost everyday, i only keep 18 friends on there who i could, if i wished stay in contact with elsewhere.
I just enjoy the daily updates on the grandchildren... :-)
