My rugby playing grand daughter described the difference between football and rugby thus:
Football - a game where players pretend they've been injured
Rugby - a game where players pretend they haven't been injured.

as he might want me to take to home matches if I support Middlesbrough
and its dam cold during the football season :-D

Footie, the most boring game, played by overpaid prima donnas.

Take him to a cricket or rugby match, show him how real sportsmen play, not a lot of problems there and hardly if any overpaid prima donnas with fans ho in the main do not want to fight :-D

Can't stand football. I find it very boring. A friend got some complementary tickets for an important match when I was a student but we left at half time. Bored to tears.

Fortunately, my 13 year old grandaughter plays rugby - so I naturally support her, then the England Rugby team.
Rugby Union is soooo much more pleasant to watch than football :-D
