AnnCardiff Report 6 Aug 2015 17:32

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

think it was morons as well as dimwits if I recall it correctly - pity it was reported

SheilaSomerset

SheilaSomerset Report 6 Aug 2015 16:44

I think it was possibly reported as being 'inflammatory' rather than anything else.

It was a bit like being on the set of a sci-fi film yesterday - 'Night of the Living Troll'...

magpie Report 6 Aug 2015 16:06

FHS. It's hardly a rude word and surely not report worthy. You'd have to call me a. lot worse than that to provoke a reporting! It's completely trivial, but there you go, some folk are easily insulted!!

I didn't see the OP
But as for dimwits

I say pot kettle black

we believe you lavender :-D

as for this thread being reported, you can't go round calling people dimwits based on which TV programmes they watch- that's just rude

nor me!

magpie Report 6 Aug 2015 12:56

It's not worth posting anything on this forum unless it totally agrees with the general run of the mill comments. For the OP to be RRd for his opinion on people who watch a sporting (?!!) event is nothing short of ridiculous. I too loved watching wrestling in its hay day, Giant Haystacks, Big Daddy and all the rest. It wasn't exactly intellectual viewing but it was a bit of fun on a wet Saturday afternoon, and yes I think it was for morons including me, and I have no problems with anyone saying so. So RR, just butt out why don't you and give your sanctimonious do gooding a rest!

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 6 Aug 2015 12:13

well just for the record it wasn't this moron !!!

I've mellowed a little over the years and the only sport I watch now is tennis :-D :-D

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 6 Aug 2015 12:11

Each to their own, I don't watch sport at all but no need to be insulting about those who watch the sport of their choice. I think he has been out to deliberately antagonise the past couple of days and has obviously succeeded. though why anyone resorted to RRing him I don't know.

In the 60s I saw many wrestling matches live on a Saturday afternoon at Walthamstow Town Hall.

Always very entertaining and an absolute hoot to see the oldies getting involved...lolol

I used to go to Worthing Pier once a week to watch wrestling back in the 70's. I still have autographs from Big Daddy, Kendo Nagasaki, Giant haystacks and Mick McManus somewhere.

I knew it was staged, but it was a brilliant night out :-D

Guinevere Report 6 Aug 2015 11:18

Annoying when you've bothered to respond, though.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 6 Aug 2015 11:07

oops =he's been reported yet again - that's what you get for calling people dimwits if they watch wrestling - that must be at least six of his postings reported in the last twenty-four hours - something of a record maybe :-D

RolloTheRed

RolloTheRed Report 6 Aug 2015 09:33

I only wish they would put real stuff on - judo, for instance while kendo is highly entertaining

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4SHWXQBVL4

Then there are the contact team sports of which Oz rules football and Gaelic football must score top for thrills though they don't come over on the telly as well as rugby union.

Then if you want to participate in a contact sport there is always the London Underground and the challenge of getting from Waterloo ot Bank in 5 mins or anywhere at all from Baker Street.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 6 Aug 2015 09:18

I can't bear to watch any sport on TV. Boring, boring, boring - to me at least but I expect my chosen viewing would not appeal to many here.

Other channels are always available.

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 6 Aug 2015 09:14

me too - I thought it was very entertaining - especially when old ladies in the front row attacked the "wrestlers" with umbrellas etc :-D :-D
