We had the old street lights here up till about four or five years ago I had one outside my bedroom window did not need to use the light but when the lights went out I just got used to going to bed in the dark now we have the new lights still cannot see so still go to bed in the dark :-D :-D

The lights are only left on sometimes when I suppose we must be paying the bill.

No lights at all in our street.

That's the way we like it.

We have solar lights on the front path & a motion sensor light on the driveway.

Thanks for all the comments.

Our house seems to be right on the edge of where the light meets the dark. We have lost that little bit of glow from the old lighting but having had a late night walk outside ( not my usual thing ;-) ) I wouldn't be surprised if some of the neighbours now complain of too much light in their houses.

Errol - I wouldn't have been at all surprised if we had been told to provide lighting for the pavement area!!
