:-)

I haven't used them for years, I think the last time was in the late 1980s!

We bought some fish, and the lady who served us gave us some "new" oven bags, can be used in an ordinary oven or a microwave.

I tried cooking the fish in the microwave. It was perfect :-D

I'm on a restricted diet for about a week, am allowed steamed fish or chicken... which can be tasteless and boring. At the end of this week everything will be tasteless and boring!

I'll be buying some more oven bags.

Have any of you tried them?

I cooked my Christmas turkey in one last year, and it produced lovely, moist meat without adding any fat :-D

I bought some from Dunelm for cooking fish in the oven, have used one so far and was very impressed.

Yes, I got some from Te*co earlier this year and did some fish which turned out well. Best of all, less fishy smell and you just throw the bag away after. I must try some veg in one next.

I use them often.
In fact I used one tonight!

Roasted chicken breasts in Nando's piri piri seasoning.
They can be quite expensive and the pack only has about 5 bags.

I also buy large microwave bags from Tesco for veggies
40 pack of their own brand is pretty cheap

The bag I used is small, not like the large ones I used years ago.

I cooked a lovely piece of barramundi, it took 3 minutes in the microwave. :-D

What are oven bags - are they lazy cooking or something to make stuff cook properly?

I have been using "steam bags " for a few years now to microwave things especially fish, they are cheap and easy to use; plus no washing up or mess.

"Quickasteam" microwave steam bags on the internet, very inexpensive and different sizes too :-D :-D :-D

Been shopping......

Got my fish..... wandered into the aisle that has cling wrap, foil, oven bags etc etc..... but could only find great big oven bags.

Went back to the deli counter and asked the lady server.......... No problem, she said, we keep them here! How much? FREE!

She gave me a huge wodge of them. :-D :-D
