My first job after leaving school in 1964 was as a labourer in a Sewage Treatment Plant.

I left after a couple of months as the work was really boring :-(

At the end, I was just going through the motions

;-) :-D :-D :-D :-D

Actually, I remember my first week there extremely well.

It was a very hot day and I took my jacket off and left it near the edge of a receiving pond.

A little later I accidently kicked it in.

I immediately stuck my arm in hoping to find the jacket.

One of the other workers, who had seen what had happened said, "that must be an expensive jacket.

By this time I was up to my elbow in raw sewage.

I answered;

" The jackets not worth much, but my sandwiches are in the pocket" :-0 :-D :-D

As you know, Fred drove a turd hearse.

There was a day when one of his colleagues was waiting at the traffic lights and saw a woman laughing fit to bust in the car behind him.

Upon returning to the yard he went round to the back of the wagon where he saw, drawn in the dust, a stick man holding a prong with a big sausage across it and, written beneath, the slogan "Fresh Daily".
