Love him or hate him...,the BBC is like a lot of firms that take no notice of what you did in the past and treat with disrespect.

Tom has a wealth of experience ,knows show biz,and can help and recognise new talent,,,and can sing in tune ,unlike a lot of modern ones who can't ,let alone hear the words they're singing.

Think it is disgraceful to be treated like he was.

Typical, don't ask the public who they want to see? The bbc should at least have let Tom know a change was being considered.

Of course not Pat!!

Not sure I will be watching it now, don't like Boy George at all, Paloma Faith, not sure about her. Wish the BBC would stop trying to 'appeal to younger viewers' (who probably don't watch it anyway). Sir Tom Jones might be getting past his best but he has a wealth of experience and the contestants always liked him.

I too think it very rude. Whatever they say it would have just been common courtesy to let him know so he could rejig his diary.

Wonder what the financial difference is between Boy George and Tom Jones?

Would that be the reason, surely not? ;-)

Not a big fan of either TJ or rhe program but it does seem rather rude.

But then whenever you see someone from the Beeb responding to viewer comment or criticism they are always in the right and everyone else is wrong, so not surprising at all.

That's a shame, I liked the fact that he was so much older and experienced in the music game. I was never that keen on him before but enjoyed watching him on The Voice It definitely won't be the same without him.

Have just read this from a friend on FB that Tom has been dropped from series 5 of The Voice...without consultation after he had scheduled it in his itinerary...has anyone else seen this....
They will probably bring some other young singer with hardly any experience in to take his place...
Seems like it was a shock to him with no notice...if true that is shameful behaviour on the part of the BBC....
