Organisers say the show will offer an escape from mindless escapism. What does it all mean? “I guess you’d say it’s a theme park whose big theme is – theme parks should have bigger themes,” said Banksy.

Oh yes :-D

It's just been on the news ... I can see what they mean, might be worth a look for anyone in Weston Super Mare.

Funny I went there once, it rained, blew a gale and I cut my foot open on the dodgems ...seems like the ideal location for Dismaland lol :-) ( no offence to Westoners...I probably picked the wrong day ).

It always blows a gale - 'bracing', my Dad used to say...

I think it's an interesting concept .......and just having Banksy associated with it will guarantee some popularity.

no thanks "Ann" - went there a year or two back and didn't care for it - rip off with parking fees and they also have major drug problems there :-(

Clevedon, a few miles further north, is a much better place to go unless of course you are into dodgems, carnivals, candy floss and modern folk murals.
They both have piers. Clevedon's has been well restored after an unfortunate accident during elf n safety testing. Weston's caught fire, I think it too has been repaired.

it's a whole new pier at Weston, very well done but when you get to the end of the pier it's like walking into Hell!!!

Cleveland is lovely, a bit like going back in time. Similar to Arnside in Lancs.
