I have a big excel spread sheet with snips copied on it from various newspapers etc for my OH's family research. It is one of the most brilliant things ever to come on the net. |

The two-page symbol visible once you've drawn the rectangle or whatever is "copy" - click on it and you can paste it on any Word type document (I have Open Office text document) and save it as a file wherever it suits, document or picture. Or you can send it as an email even to yourself - I use the snipping tool and email symbol to pass on some of the more suitable GR jokes to my descendants! |

If you make a mistake like cutting off part of the info, just don't save it and try again. |

I use the snipping tool a lot. Mostly use the rectangular snip and then when I have drawn around the picture or notice and it goes to window viewer ( if I remember correctly) and then I click on save as, give it a name and then if I want to print it can do. |
