I have quite a few photos from my mother's side of the family, but none from father's. I have absolutely no idea what dad or any of his brothers looked like as kids.

You're very lucky, Bob. I have very few photos of my family, as they probably couldn't afford it.

OH, on the other hand, has inherited a whole box of photos from one side of his family, but unfortunately can't identify most of them.

I have done it the easy way, and changed my profile picture. My Gt Gt Grandmother is in the middle, born 1821. She is between her daughter, my Gt Grandmother and her husband. All 14 of the children reached adulthood, and most lived into their 80s and 90s. The photo was taken about the end of the 1890s as my Grandmother looks to be about 7/8, and she was born in 1890. She lived to be 94.

The reason I asked.... watching WDYTYA the other night, Jane Seymour produced an old family photo group covering several generations. I have a lovely old photo of my grandmother and all 13 of her siblings, plus her parents and her grandmother. I thought you might like to see it, that's all.

Errol ..................

is that why I could get a message from FB yesterday that I might like to see again a photo that I had posted on there very briefly several years ago?

I'm not on there very much, maybe once a week to see if any friends or rellies have posted anything new and of interest, so it was quite a shock to see the post to my home page!

It is probably easier (and more secure in all likelihood) to use a photo site and then post a link.

Also, if you do it this way, you are not just limited to this site - you can share with anyone you wish.

you can post them as your avatar, but otherwise, as Claire said, you have to put them in Keepsafe and then post the link so people can open your Keepsafe

be sure that you make the Keepsafe available for general viewing and not private only.

I think you have to put them in Keepsafe for public viewing then post the link on here

Can we put photos on the chat boards for general viewing?
