OH dear Joeva, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your daughter; there's nothing worse than losing a child, I do feel for you. I saw Les Mis, on the stage with my late mother about 30 years ago, it was the last show we went together before she died. We both really enjoyed it so much, but I won't be watching it again, too many memories.

the film version was breath-taking - particularly the opening scene - and Hugh Jackman - to die for - fill yet boots girls :-D :-D :-D :-D

First saw it on stage with my late daughter who was heavily pregnant at the time, when the noise of the cannons filled the theatre we jumped so hard I thought my daughter may go into labour !

The next time I saw it was at the cinema a couple of years ago with my granddaughter, she was the baby my daughter was carrying at the time............... when Francine sang 'I Dreamed a Dream' the tears rolled down my cheeks.........I was overcome by emotion, not only by the sadness of the plight of the character ........ but also with the pain that our loved one was no longer with us.....

I also have the DVD .... which I have watched, but is no way as spectacular as watching the film at the cinema, but is still well worth seeing ........ enjoy :-)

It does usually happen that seeing a fim on the TV is not as good because on the screen it is larger than life. But I think Les Mis will be fine. Jem yes we have the Dream Team DVD. The only problem with Les Mis is the 'worm' that gets into your brain and you go to sleep hearing it and wake up and it is still there. 1230 is a bit late for us though so I think we will watch it another evening.

I thought the stage version was beyond reality something that is hardly possible but i happened. Half the show was the audience reaction which no movie can replicate.

The film version was good too. I've never seen it on DVD and wonder it it will fit into a small screen - 50in is a bit of a pocket handkerchief for Les Mis. But hey why not those who want to watch MOTD can go to the den.

thank you

I'm going to watch it, too. I have the DVD somewhere in the house, but I've never got round to playing it :-D

I loved the televised stage production with the "Dream Team" including Michael Ball :-)

I bought the DVD of the film but I haven't had a chance to see it yet. IE- when everyone is out so I can blub in peace!:-D
.... oh..... "Bring Him Home" :-( :-( <3

I may watch it on the telly tonight, if OH is not watching his programmes, otherwise I will keep putting off opening up the DVD :-D :-D :-D :-D

lalalaa.... Can you hear the people sing ..... <3

Thank you Ann. I've seen it at the cinema, but it's definitely worth a second watch! :-)
