You are right DetecTive, that is the only info I have. I was trying to find out if she could have been an ancester, as I know we had Glendennings with, I believe, an ale company in the early 1900's but cannot seem to find anything about them. I am pretty new at this as you can probably tell.

:-D - Rambina only seems to know that she was the landlady of the Glendenning Arms in 1839. The marriage you spotted was earlier than that

Looking at the image, she was a widow, so Glendenning was her husbands surname.

For our info, "Witton Gilbert /'d??lb?rt/ is a village and civil parish in County Durham, England. It is situated to the north-west of Durham."
