Grease ... elbow grease ... is always the best remedy!
Meantime, however, I suggest you go to Home Hardware and buy the 125 ml container - with flip spout - called Got Stains. About $5. It's really very good. I have used it several times.
You don't state the colour of the garment. If it's white, neat beach on the stain will do the trick after a few minutes.
Your mission ....!

Maybe we should put in a bulk order for adult size bibs?

Two for me.

RMS ..............

as you might guess from my post, I get attacked regularly by all kinds of foods, from solid to liquid.

At the moment, it seems that tomatoes, balsamic vinegar salad dressing and soy sauce are the major culprits :-D

Thank you all.

Guess I shouldn't ask a question and then go to bed ;-), but it is nice to have the answers there in the morning :-D

I find using dish washing liquid excellent for greasy stains .........

......... wet the stain with warm water, add a dab of neat liquid, rub it in well, then rinse well. Repeat if necessary.

Then wash as usual.

after all dish washing liquids all advertise that they cut through grease :-D :-D

I use Sunlight, but only because that is the one we've always used ......... creatures of habits we are :-D

I also use dish washing liquid for tomato, ketchup, soy sauce, etc ............. but it has be used as quickly as possible for those stains.

Soaking in biological liquid wash, or even poured on neat liquid does dissolve a lot of greasy food stains (good for burnt saucepans and oven dishes as well!)

I use Vanish on all sorts of stains, but not sure whether you can get it in Canada. If not, there is probably something similar, or, as suggested above, neat washing up liquid.

Vanish works a treat - put it on, wait 5-10 mins and then gently rub the stain and it will be gone. Will also work on dinner shirts, boat engine grease on jeans after a couple of goes so t-shirts ez.

After removing the stain chuck item in washing macine for best results.

Try dishwashing liquid.

Rub it in gently for a few minutes, then wash as usual in the machine.

Works for me most of the time.

If that doesn't work, try a barely warm iron, with lots of kitchen paper over the stain to absorb the grease.

I've been known to use ExitMould on awful stains (like cooked red cabbage), but ONLY ON WHITE GARMENTS!

I must find a couple of adult size bibs :-)

Is 'Dab It Off' still available?

RMS, you must have noticed the diversity of topics on here surely? :-0 :-)

I use Vanish stain remover in with my washing powder and it's really good. You could also try just rubbing the stain with washing up liquid or a bar of soap.

Does anybody know how to get grease spots out of t-shirts? I was 'attacked' by a buttered potato.

I thought washing it would work but it didn't. :-( So now what ????
