lol...... don't you have a recipe, using blackberries or something similar?

Unless you're near the sea and can catch a squid.

I saw a recipe today, for biscuits.... using breadcrumbs!

Bread Crumb Biscuits

1½ cups SR flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
½ cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1½ tsp vanilla extract
2/3 cup apple sauce
2 cups fresh breadcrumbs*

Pre-heat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Sift together flour and cocoa, stir in bread crumbs. Combine skim milk, egg, vanilla extract and apple sauce. Add to dry ingredients and stir to combine. Drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet lined with baking paper. Bake 15 minutes until golden.

Makes 3 dozen biscuits

Save crusts in the freezer until you have enough to make 2 cups of breadcrumbs

I think I may have surpassed myself today.

I had made jam from those plums I was given and there was a bit of scum on top, not much because Aldis sugar makes a lot less scum than most others, and I was spooning it off with the intention of throwing it away.

Then I decided that there was probably as much jam as scum being skimmed off and the scum was edible so I would keep it to put on a steamed sponge.

OH is still eating what was left over from a takeaway we indulged in last week. It has gone into pasties for his lunch box..
