Lady Scozz that is true of the roof which I've had to have repaired in various spots 5 times in 5 years but the plumbing is only 5 years old and the kettle about 18 months. :-)

I did have a book a few years ago but lent it to a friend. I know the doors are 'wrong' and also the garage being slap bang in front of the front door means that the energy does not have a good flow ( even if feng shui is nonsense, a garage in front of the house is not good because it cuts the light).

Sylvia, on the plus side I do have an 8 in my house number :-) and the 2 numbers add up to what is supposed to be my lucky number.

Maybe it's because.........

the roof, the kettle & the tap are getting old?

Just like us....... getting old is when everything either dries up or leaks ;-)

all I know about Feng Shui is that the front door should not be in a direct line with the back door ............ or the devil can chase you right out of the house.

Plus numbers are important .............. a house address with an 8 in it, that is very lucky. Multiple 8s are extremely lucky :-D

It is also unlucky to have a tree in a direct line with the front door ............. whether that be in your garden or a street tree. It has been known for believers in Feng Shui living in this city to go out at night and cut down a street tree, which of course belongs to the city ............ and will cost them a fine of about $10,000 IF the culprit can be caught.

Errr.....didn't the lease expire??

If you believe in it, you'll be effected. If you don't, you'll be fine. It's all in the power of suggestion.

Be careful to respect it. In the bad old colonial days in Hong Kong people were careful not to abuse it when planning. Government House was built on the hill above the old town, a fengshui-approved clear view across the harbour to the mainland - the HK bank with same fengshui below them on the coast. But then the bank built a big tall building blocking the view from Government House, and Mrs T promptly offered the whole colony back to China.

Sympathy to you Rose whatever the. cause, water problems can take your life over

Edit forr detective - HK island was not on lease _ just the mainland

Dear Rambles and Ann

Hello

All I know about Feng Shui, is that you should keep the toilet door closed as you could be letting your money go down the drain.

If you are interested, try and borrow a book in the teach yourself series from the library.

They are a very good set of books, easy to read and good information.

Take gentle care
With best wishes
Love Elizabeth, EOS

Anyone into Feng Shui?

For weeks I have been without a useable hot water tap in the kitchen ( boiling water in the kettle for washing dishes) having had to shut it off as I couldn't stop the dripping. The kettle has been leaking for about a year. And the roof is leaking for the 4th time since we've lived here.

Feng Shui suggests it is my finances draining away... I fear they have already drained! The tap has just cost £80, the kettle I replaced today for £12 and goodness knows what the roof will cost when the roofer comes.

Is there something I should introduce to my home to feng shui it lol?
