	There's a charge for the majority of bags used in Wales. If I buy a dress then I have to pay for a bag the same as if I buy food from the supermarket. If I pick up loose food such as vegetables or buy fish from the fishmonger counter then there's no charge for the small bag . McDonald's is the strange one; no charge for the bag the chips come in but 5p for the brown bag a meal is put in.

	I don't think I would buy a dress (not that I wear dresses, lol) if they didn't put it in a bag. In M&S you pay for a carrier bag in the food department but not in the clothes department - which seems strange to me! Kath. x

	Meat fish sanitary wear medical goods free bags are given other than that I don't know We paid for our carrier bags when we where in Wales

	I wonder if you will be charged for a plastic bag, if you buy a dress for instance?
