Ihave just read it in the Daily Post Ann....looks like the person running it was only there from last year..... Hopefully the lease holder can pick up the pieces and get the business running again :-)

OK you lurkers, I'm still here for the time being.

Conwy is lovely. When we go to N Wales we usually stay at Deganwy. Never been OH and.me alone. Always at least one offspring and family, sometimes both and luckily the house we rent is big enough to accommodate everyone.

We love it.

Ann, you are lucky.

Two stories which show the Welsh in the best possible light.

Many moons ago (when Wales was dry) I was travelling up from Cornwall to uncle's caravan on Anglesey. Got to Monmouth around midnight on Sunday, desperate for the loo. Stopped outside a pub where party was going on but could not rouse anyone. Across the road was a police station so in I went to ask where I could go. Duty policeman kindly let me use their loo then offered me a cup of te when I came out. Think he may have been bored but he was most certainly kind.

Second one: only about five years ago while on a day in Caernarfon with both kids and all grandkids three young lads came rowdily out of a pub - not nasty but noisy enough to perhaps frighten some. One lone, young policeman went over and spoke quietly to them. At once the lads hushed and walked away. Marvellously brave young policeman - enough to make Wales proud.

Anglesey has some lovely beaches, lovely part of the country. I remember when the pubs up there were dry on Sundays...we went to Abersoch and OH nearly fainted cos he could not get a pint :-D :-D

My Dad was a policeman in Wales for 30 years and my brother retired from North Wales Police last year...so yes I agree :-D :-D
