I had one but the original email was bt internet..........but also have problems with yahoo.....

I have had two or three this week from facebook friends who are ex GR members but who I have also had e mail contact with. I deleted before I saw but at least one was from yahoo.

similar thing for me ... I got an email from Dizzi last week, didn't want to ask about it here as it seemed rather indelicate ... a little distressing but still, a reminder

yes, signed with her yahoo address, but actually came from @daisuke2.dip.jp

(with a fishing link in it of course)

... and just last week I got one from a very much still living member of these boards who also uses yahoo but shall remain nameless :-)


yahoo advises that it likely means the account has been hacked

(yahoo seems to not have very good security)

so then the hacker will have access to the address book

unfortunately with deceased account holders, the security precautions can't be taken ...

Yes I had one Wend. I deleted of course without opening. I had to think for a moment why it shouldn't be there. said to myself "you're having a laugh BC" then deleted it.

Not from BC, but I did recently have two from a friend who died a few years ago. I had deleted her from my contacts list about a year after her death, and yes I agree, it is upsetting when it happens. My heart gave a funny little jump :-(

I have been receiving some strange e-mails lately from friends, which I deleted because they looked suspicious. This morning I received one in BC's real name, but with half the e-mail address incorrect. Deleted, of course, but nevertheless upsetting. Has anyone else received one?
