I found an old post from a Joanna Beattie looking for Keith A Beattie, the natural son of Gladys & Robert Beattie, whom she believed was adopted and brought up in Saffron Walden.

Keith was adopted by my cousin and was indeed brought up in a village near Saffron Walden. I have an awful lot to tell Joanna and need to get in touch urgently. Does anyone know how I can do so? I assume after all this time she might not be on GR any longer. Anybody know what I can do?

Hi I did click on her name and sent a message and also one for her to open her tree if she is agreeable, but nothing has come back. I only found her posting when I curiously googled Keith's name and lo and behold I was astonished to find Joanna looking for him. I have so much to tell her but, from memory, I believe that post was back in 2007. If she is not active on here now, is there any way the moderators can contact her?

Have sent you a message with a possible 2013 address + 2014-15 one for her brother. Also, see if she is on Facebook and other social media sites.

Rather than ask to view someones tree, its better to just write a message explaining who you are and who you are looking for.

Check your Sent Message box - if there is still an envelope icon next to your message, she hasn't accessed it..

Genes is member moderated - the staff tend only to get involved with the boards if a member reports a post as breaking the T&C.

When you joined GR, you were only asked for an email address - if a member changes theirs but doesn't update their GR account, GR has no way of getting in contact.
