My "wide experience of life" keeps me young Bob, I maybe 27, but I only look 22 ;-)

Cynthia, I've looked everywhere for the poppies, in the cupboards and under the stairs, but can't find them, but do not worry, I took many photos of the poppies at The Tower of London last year, so will decorate the boards with those :-D

I think you may have inadvertently locked someone in the building Lynda.......and they've been reading this thread. The 3 pinned posts we were talking about, have been unpinned.

Did you check the loos before you locked up? :-D

Lynda ~

Lynda ~ Report 6 Oct 2015 22:55

I found them locked in the canteen Cynthia, they'd been in there a year, very pleased I let them out they were, but the condition I realeased them was that they unsticked the stickies first ;-)

I was then made honorary president of GR, so I will now be in charge, any changes members want, will be run past me first, and of course I will be making BIG changes, so members beware :-0

I'll need some new staff, so will be interviewing later in the week, those who want to apply to the new posts must give me good reason as to why they want to work for me, and what they can bring to my new business. I'm not to sure what the new posts will be, perhaps those interested in working could give me good reasons why they think I need there skills ?

Must say, I like my new office, the chair is pink and real leather, cost a fortune, but well worth it. I think I'm going to like this job !

Apply below if interested, in working for me, i'll get back to you...... if you're lucky :-D

*Waving hand in air*

I'll give it a go!

Can I be 'unstickier in Chief' please? All unstickying would be done within a suitable timescale and with discretion.

After that, if members so wish, I would design and implement a board where current members could remember former members who have died.

I have one condition to make though.

I REALLY NEED a swivel chair. I think much better when I am swivelling.... :-D

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 7 Oct 2015 08:33

I have a swivelly chair. *smug*

Lynda ~ Report 7 Oct 2015 09:10

Cynthia, let's get one thing clear, you don't NEED a swivel chair, you WANT one, big difference !

Your application isn't up to scratch, you said "if members so wish" you should of written "If Honorary President so wishes" Get your priorities right woman, then I MIGHT look at your application ;-)

As for you Guinevere, stop showing off :-D

Sharron Report 7 Oct 2015 12:20

I suppose that I don't post as much now because I don't have my interesting topic to post about any more.

Have been looking at my old threads and what a laugh we had at his expense!

Have only ever been on this board and have only ever looked on other boards a couple of times and always look on here first when I log on but, if there is nothing much going on, I go off somewhere else. That is usually to play a bit of Scrabble on Facebook.

Tabitha

Tabitha Report 7 Oct 2015 13:48

I have a swivel chair at home & in the office and a cute wireless mouse - he has his own little sleeping bag too when i put him to bed at night & i have a diddy mouse to go with my laptop too - i could brag about a few other things including a treadle foot rest - but will leave that to my formal interview

Unless I get to have an informal one as i an bring a lot of things with me

Do i qualify for a new job at GR on the basis I am totally bonkers about animals & Shaun the sheep (like Cynthia)

I am very good at computer work & keeping a spreadsheet of when things should be moved off the thread & adding pictures & will obey your every whim Lynda

Thais if Cynthia will let me

Go on Pretty please I can provide my own equipment & i can beat the Chaser some evenings and i got more questions right on 15 to 1 the other day in round one than all 15 of them that day.

PatinCyprus

PatinCyprus Report 7 Oct 2015 14:01

Now if Shaun the Sheep is a qualification I'll go top of the list. :-D

My qualifications other than that, I live in a different time zone so can start earlier and I see the sun more often so have a sunny disposition :-D

I can type and know who to ask if I have a computer problem - OH.

Lynda, I was a WRAF so used to taking orders and know the correct answers - yes mam, no mam and under breath three bags full mam. :-D

Yours in anticipation

Pat

Cynthia, watch my lips........you do not NEED anything, you just want it, you sound quite needy, not sure you will fit in with the other executives, but this isn't a firm no, as I might need someone to clean the loo's, so will get back to you, if you're lucky.

Sharron, your posts about Fred were very entertaining, I'm sure you could post about what you do now, and we'd all enjoy reading, give it a go :-D

Tabitha you sound promising, bringing things to the office, is what I'm looking for, as long as it also involves cake. You sound quite bright, not as bright as me of course, because I am President, but you could tell Cynthia where the loo rolls are, if she gets the job of course ;-)

Pat I like you, because I will be able to come and stay, and you can wait on me, also your weather is good in our winter, so it could be a weekly meet at your house. I also like your attitude, I'm used to being called mam, so I won't have to teach you, you can teach Tabitha and that Cynthia woman.

I am just in the process of changing offices, I want an office, overlooking the Thames, and have a couple to visit tomorrow, one is a penthouse near Parliament, the other is by St Pauls, both rate high on my list of must haves, I've just got to decide what one is better for me, not bothered if it suits you lot to be honest.

Interviews to be taken online sometime when I'm ready.

Watch this space Ladies, oh and you as well Cynthia

:-D ;-)

A touch of deja vu on this thread

Sharron does post about what she does now, and while you do, Sharron, I am happy to see that you are turning your life to the new road you are on, yet I never forget your tales of Fred and his pal and how you enriched his life.

Dear Prospective Employer,

Loo cleaning is an excellent job and I come highly recommended in that department. My talent at getting under the rim is par excellence and my seat polishing skills will leave you floored. I have to say that you will feel flushed with success when you see the results. You will be bowled over and you may want to write a paper on it and you would soon be on a roll.

However, a swivel chair would be good to rest in after all my exertions. I may have to borrow Guinevere's chair if all else fails.

I hope you find my credentials beyond reproach.

Your most obedient servant *cough*splutter*.

Cyn Kleaner.

Lynda ~ Report 7 Oct 2015 21:49

There are no deja vu openings at the moment Liz, but if one becomes available I will certainly give you a shout ;-)

Cyn, your persistence has paid off, jobs yours, fetch your own brush, bucket, cleaning materials and loo rolls, you start Monday, the pay is £30.00 a day, obviously you pay me, straight into my Swiss account please, my accountant will send you details.

No slacking now Cyn, I expect a good job, or you're out on your ear ;-)

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 7 Oct 2015 22:15

May I ask if that would be my right ear or my left ear?

Rest assured, slacking is not in my vocabulary but I may need to brush up on my Swiss bank account knowledge.

Lynda ~

Lynda ~ Report 7 Oct 2015 22:26

Left of course.! You mean you haven't got a Swiss account, you poor thing Cyn :-(

Nope - no Swiss bank account but I do have a Wigan bank account - more or less the same thing really.

Now, please let me get on with my duties *waves* loo brush in air, it is time for me to go round the bend.
