I have told some of this to Emma already but....

My mum delivered me herself when she was on her own. She looked down and I was so chubby. in my nether regions, she thought I was a boy. She was longing for a girl, after already having 3 sons.. It wasn't until the midwife told her it was ME she was so happy....

My one regret is that I wasn't blessed with a daughter ....

A son is a son... till he finds him a wife

A daughter's a daughter... all of her life

My grand daughter made solids for Amelia from
scratch all healthy food, no salt etc.
Ollie will get the same when she feels he is ready for it.

Emms.....you have just reminded me of something...when we were living in the caravan on the land next door..a neighbour gave birth to a daughter weeks before my son was born.....she was a big baby 11+ . I used to see her up at the clinic each week and my son looked half starved next to her :-0 :-0

When she was about six months they were strolling past the van and we got into conversation...was gobsmacked when she casually said what food she was on...she was eating chips, meat etc with the family :-0 :-0

When my son was born I thought it was another girl because he was the spit of his sister :-D :-D

Am on the last run with me cupboards...well one side of the kitchen anyway...and now it's looking like rain and I have washing out :-( :-(

We had a very cloudy and dry start to the day here in my corner of Kent :-( but the forecast is for heavy showers throughout the day :-) with some of these turning thundery at times :-( although there is a slight chance of the odd bright or sunny spell this afternoon :-) and with temperatures slightly above average at 64°F it may feel humid at times :-(

So wherever you are and whatever you will be doing today ;-) stay safe :-) take care :-) enjoy yourself ;-) and if you see someone without a smile give them one of yours :-)

And remember that some people come into your life as blessings ;-) others come into your life as lessons ;-) so always count your blessings and learn from the lessons ;-)
