All in the order of my reading this board.

Pouring with rain. Younger grandson got soaking wet doing cross-country. Tomorrow it's his Harvest Festival Service at our local C of E Church and I'll be there. (Not at the cross-country but his Mum was and she rang me to say she, too, had got soaking wet.)

Not heard from other grandson so I guess it's usual school.

Granddaughter just rang to let me know she's forgotten her key and her lessons finished by 11 am. Locked out in the rain! That'll larn her! Bet she doesn't forget her key for a long while. Meantime, she's been to the gym and is now in Asda with a warm drink and a piece of cake, waiting for a relly to get home from work to let her in.

Just preparing a little light lunch so I hope you all enjoy yours.

Notice I've missed Oneft but I hope he is OK.

Yesterday, pupils at our local junior school enjoyed a special lunch feast consisting of Wellington bake filled with battered suitcase. Vegetables on offer included duffle coat toggles, sticky paw prints, all topped off with floppy red hat.

Now, please ’bear’ with me. I’m confident that many of you will have provided similar mesmerising edible concoctions for your own brood over the years. If not, it's never too late to start. Very popular in Paddington, I'm told. :-D

Although we had some heavy rain this morning in my corner of Kent :-( the forecast is that any rain will clear during the morning :-) to leave us with a mainly dry afternoon with a few sunny spells at times :-) but with the temperature only hovering at around 58°F it will feel a tad cooler today :-)

So wherever you are and whatever you will be doing today ;-) stay safe :-) take care :-) enjoy yourself ;-) and if you see someone without a smile give them one of yours :-)

And remember that difficult times allow you to discover strengths ;-) which in the better times you never knew you had ;-)
