Before making any rash decisions make sure you seek out some sound financial advice.

If you religiously save each week then after ten years you will have a phenomenal £156 which by then will be worth about... 30p.

On the other hand you could really splash out, throw caution to the wind, live the high life and save up for that lovely little red Ferrari California you have had your eye on.

It would only take 9,753 and a half years although I am sure that Ferrari would waive the last half year - or let you trade in your Nissan Micra in part exchange.

Optional extras will, of course, be an optional and costly extra.

Can't even suggest investing in Premium Bonds as that's a minimum spend of £100.
Lotto tickets are £2 with a very little chance of getting any sort of payout.

If he saves for a year, he might be able to afford fish & chips for 2!
