We went to Slindon today.

They have a big exhibition of squashes there every year and this year it is dedicated to the RNLI.

They are all for sale and we bought a small pumpkin for pies and some butternuts for soup.

You should have seen the marrow they had there.It was ENORMOUS!

We deliberately bought a little one so there would only be enough for a couple of pies although I do make the same pie with marrow.

I have some sort of mental block about eating squash which I can't explain. Imagination that it will not taste good over-rides the fact that I know it will.
