Barb, When my daughter split from a boyfriend at the age of 22, I told her to get out and enjoy herself. Little did I know how much she'd take me at my word. She was out every single night for more than two months. Well done her, I thought, but it was nice when she stayed in for a night again. My son was also a regular night owl.

Never had that from either Mum or Dad, Ann. I had a very relaxed upbringing, I'm pleased to say. Dad in particular was so laid back he was almost horizontal :-D
