Very interesting Fly - from 1860. I'll be going back to look at newspapers some time.

Hubby came too and found a few things he was looking for.

The RO is only open three days a week now. It was less busy when it was open five day must get my skates on (imagine that ;-) )and head off to pick up my youngest young 'un.

Thought I'd drop into say hello. Fly, I did not need my brolly for the Record Office. It has been dry (and sunny since before lunchtime) all day.

I could have stayed there longer but I knew my brother was coming at about 1 so headed back home at about 12.45. He's gone and I have to do the school run soon.

If you are on this thread Polly, I spotted the Left Hand Thread. My younger grandson is a left-hander for writing but uses his right hand for everything else. Your granddaughter may turn out to be the same.

In case I don't get back on here later today, keep well everyone and don't do anything I wouldn't do :-D.

Its a lovely bright sunny day here. All my chores are done, I always feel like working when the sun is shining ! I have spent an hour searching online for some Christmas presents, I am not usually so organised but we are planning going on holiday at the end of November. Christmas always seems to catch me totally unaware, so I will be ready (almost) for it this year. Just waiting for a parcel to arrive, then at my keep-fit class this afternoon. Out for dinner this evening.
