I hope that you managed to get some (restful) sleep Shirley, comfortable in the knowledge that everything that could be done for your husband was done.

He was in the best possible since he left hospital. Spending some time at home with you, while you were able to hive him all the love and care that you could. Having time together while you both got ready to say your goodbyes.

Then some time at a Hospice, where he had round the clock care, just like you gave him at home, but with medical expertise too. Giving you time to see that all his needs were met while his pain was taken care of.

Condolences to you, know that you did everything that you could, and then some.

Sorry to hear of your loss Shirley. It isn't the same as with a husband, but we have trodden a very similar path with my MIL the past few months and who passed away at the end of August. I know it is a very stressful, worrying time and my hubby wasn't there when his mum died either, but they do say that it is often the case. Take care of yourself and keep in touch with your friends on here as a little normality helps at these times. Best wishes. <3 <3

I was saddened to read about Shirley's loss and my thoughts and sincere condolences go out to <3 Shirley <3 and her family <3

Researching:
I am researching the Wotherspoon family from the Old/New Monkland areas of Scotland, some moved to the Leslie and Kelty areas of Fife and I'm having problems linking the Wotherspoon's from Leslie and the Wotherspoon's from Kelty. I am also researching the Clusker family from Co. Meath in Ireland who moved to West Lothian and from there to Fife............"Vita non est vivere sed valere vita est"
