I dread to think what Fred might have taught him!

Sharron Fred's mate was well taught by Fred then, talk to strage ladies and they give you goodies!!! My other half calls those gadgets, 'under the sink' things.

And takes up room in the cupboard with that machine that makes biscuits and that electric can-opener I bought for Fred along with the electric jar opener and the thing that looks like a duck that lets you crack eggs one-handed.

That apple machine would get one use and probably be too hard for me to use again unsupervised.

This is a job for my 'knife which you may not use' that also came from Lakeland.

By the sounds of it you could do with ""Lakeland Applemaster.

It peels, cores and slices the apples, and no waste.

And only £14-97

Fred's mate came down on the bus yesterday and got talking to a woman from up the road. The result of that conversation is that I now have two carrier bags full of apples to peel and deal with.

Nigel Slater made quite an interesting looking apple ice-cream on one of the repeats of his programmes on TV yesterday and I thought I might inflict that on them.

I am going to have to stop him talking to strange women.
