arrrrrrrrrgh!

I walked a few metres from the car to the physio........ not good. He thinks it's too early, and said I should wean myself off them.

I can get around in the house with the stick, but if I have to go anywhere, I'll keep using the crutches for the next few weeks, see how I go.

Now I have to find a heated pool that I can get into easily. Geez, we live in the subtropics, nobody heats their pools!

I also found out what the specialist did............ stapled & stitched the glut muscle onto my thigh bone. :-( I knew he'd cut a long way down, but that's scary.

:-D

I saw the specialist yesterday, he's very pleased with my recovery, and said I can stop using the crutches; I have to use a walking stick for a while, for balance, especially when using stairs.

I still have to do the double-step when using the stairs, I'm a bit wobbly.

Physio appointment this morning at 10am, I've been warned that it will be "brutal".

I gave up trying to use the exercise bike, it was too dangerous! I had no idea it would be so difficult to get on and off. Made up my own exercise...... sitting with feet on the floor & "marching"... same movement, less dangerous.

8 weeks since the op......... getting better slowly! :-)
