JoyLouise, not quite as foggy as yesterday when the high street looked like something out of a 70s horror film ( 'village of the damned' sprang to mind for some reason?) but definitely chilly out there. I've put the heating on now so it's all pretty warm :-)

I did wonder for a mad minute whether it might a fire in a mine deep underground :-0 as this area was a mining area, and I recall my friend who used to live around this way in her youth saying you could sometimes hear the miners down in the tunnels.

Never noticed it before . and it has gone now.

It's probably a peculiarity of heat convection in your house. Makes a change from cold draughts!

there may be cold spots....what does it mean when you find a hot spot? :-S

Just standing here , and one arm was in a hot spot for no apparent reason, so much so that I looked round to see if anything ( tv, PC) was burning or throwing off excessive heat. Weird!
