Well we all have different sounds that makes our souls sing here are some tunes that I find very evocative. Play it loud Sam.

Errrol says the he is going back to vinyl which will be fully exploited by some of these tracks. Somehow using vinyl + analog amp the music sort of hangs in the air you can almost touch it that never happens with digitial sound.

Errol didn't say if that meant he had dug his old Dansette out of his mum's loft and strengthened his shelves or he had forked out for a turntable still less if his amp is analog.

Anyway

As a pianist from the age of 7 I love Chopin..waltzes ,nocturnes, studies ,whatever.

I also love Beethoven...yes Ann in Glos...The moonlight sonata and The pathetique...had both of those for my associate and Licenciate exams.

Mozart for his improvisations on various themes and of course Bach for the counterpoint

I was introduced to jazz in the 50's..took me a while to like and understand, but have loved Dixieland ,mainstream styles ever since..yes I like Ella,Nat King Cole ..the list too long to post.
Love male voice choirs. Anything that is harmonic...can't stand a lot of what is described as music these days and the talent shows make me cringe if I catch one and the so called experts say it's fantastic, when they sing off key ...and far too loud.

I do like Gareth Malone and the way he trains people..he is a true musician

I also like Stevie Wonder, the Beach Boys,Abba etc.
Life without music would be very dull for me!

'A te o cara' from the opera 'I Puritani'
Linda Ronstadt 'Different Drum'
Billy Bragg 'Between the Wars'
The Dubliners 'Rising of the Moon'
'Into Eternity' Vangelis
..and, of course, 'V Put' or 'Let's Go' for my Russian roots.... :-D
