I don't put the doona/duvet in the cover any more.... too difficult!

Top sheet, doona, then the cover. Easy.

But.......... the doona is now in the blanket box, because it's almost summer here.... our bed has a top sheet & the doona cover..... and by mid December I think we'll only be using the bottom sheet.

One thing we don't use or really need here is electric blankets, but way down south you do.

It is so easy to trip over electrical cords, we really should have more health and safety rules within our own homes and not just the work place etc.

As for putting the duvet cover on.. I get by with a little help from him.

I put my duvet cover on the way Wendy says - shaking a cat or two out - but I don't have an electric blanket, or any wires the side I do it . Hope you're okay

hmm - well there's only me - used to be easy when OH was alive but now it's one big hassle

I find it difficult to cope with a double duvet on a king size bed,but then again I still prefer my cotton pair of sheets and light weight blankets and padded fitted quilt...old fashioned,but comfortable I don't find much trouble in changing my bed...and you can always throw a blanket off.

I have duvets on my spare beds,but I have twin beds and one ordinary double,but I put a sheet under the duvet cover .

ours is a king size.....


I kinda have the cover at the headboard end, with the mouth open.
make the duvet into a long three layer sausage,
feed one end into the cover, find the first duvet corner, offer it into the correct cover corner, then find the second corner and offer that into place,
now pulling the cover towards me locate the bottom end duvet corner, put that into place, shaking the whole as you go......then the final corner goes into place....good shake, close up and done.......easier to do, than describe.....
