It's the thought - all be it belated - that counts.

I rather like the GR version and the one incorporated in the FMP logo is clever. For what it's worth the FMP home page features a montage of WW1/Edwardian/ uniformed soldiers, and photo on which is attached a very prominent Poppy.

So let me get this right...

People were upset that there was no poppy.

Then one appeared and they are now complaining that it is too small.

I would far rather see something like this instead of a site festooned with poppies that then makes it somewhat meaningless and rather crass.

Poppies are not all about who has the biggest or best display (although there does seem to be a penchant this year for lapels sporting huge blooms). They are a sign of remembrance which, after all, is what is intended - the poppy shows that you remember and size and quantity are immaterial, surely.

It looks tidier at 2 o'clock, actually. Sits better on the lapel.

On FMP people will need binoculars to see it...

I KNOW that...................But its a nice thought..............innit?
it looks " tidier", at 11'oclock..........

Guinevere Report 6 Nov 2015 16:08

The leaf doesn't need to be at 11 o'clock - that's what the BL say and they should know.

Mrs Queen certainly doesn't think so. Nor the rest of the Royal Family.

The concept is a recent invention.

FINALLY!!!!!
and a poor effort, MUST do better

I know its not defined, but couldn't the leaf be at 11 0'clock?

Oh yeah, it's there.

I think that's what is referred to as a token gesture.

Once again Genes have proved they are not interested in the paying members.

(FMP now have a poppy stuck on the noticeboard picture)

I think they have lent out the customer support team to TalkTalk, no one at home.

Won't you miss all this ?

Thank you for contacting us.

We're so sorry to hear you're experiencing issues searching your trees.
This problem appears to be linked to the Google tool bar which you will have downloaded onto Internet Explorer.

If you go to 'tools' and then please ensure that compatibility view and compatibility view settings are both unticked, you should then be able to search your tree again.

We've passed details of the problem to the developers so they are aware of the issue

I can see that you have used some of our core services of the Platinum membership. By this we mean you have either sent messages to other members or viewed our records.

In this case we are unable to refund your Platinum membership. Your membership runs until .

We had a few problems with the new version of the tree as you are aware, so we restored the old one for the time being. If you hover your mouse over the 'Family Tree' icon on your Genes Reunited homepage, you should see the option 'Use old tree’ on the dropdown picklist.

If you click on this, you'll still be able to use the previous version of the tree.

The old tree will remain until we're able to fix all the problems in the new tree.

It's not an older version of the software.

All I want is for it to work properly or a refund.

My goodness! They replied to a post 'one hour ago'!

It must have been the time they checked the Poppy had been successfully uploaded to the page.
