Death by Duvet

I have a king sized duvet - a remnant of my children sneaking into my bed.
I still use one, as it hides the debris under my double bed. :-D

I also have 3 cats - a joy when fighting with a king sized duvet cover.

I have stairs, but no nice bannister rails :-(

Never heard of them Elizabeth but it makes me think more that it´s time to buy a new sewing machine. I could then make my own dragon duvet cover :-0 I did not say dragon I will not have a dragon in the bedroom apart from the 4 or is that 5 already there, Whoops .....

Some time ago there was a bit of publicity for duvet covers that did up on three sides - it sounded wonderfully painless but they were expensive, so I hoped the price would come down as they were bound to be popular - but I haven't seen any sign of them since. Anybody know if they are still available anywhere?

See Shirley, you know why I miss my stairs (the only reason). It´s one of the few times that I have had problems with the top of the duvet and that was because I was trying to take an easy "quick" way out !

I often hang the duvet in its clean cover over the stair well to get it to settle in .

Sometimes the duvet just doesnt want to fit and buckles up so the stairwell is the answer

Why though when you have it all in place the top seam just doesnt want to sit along the top of the duvet .I hate having spare linen showing along the pillow area

Oh Ann hope you are okay ? see they are dangerous :-D.
I will say I am used to changing the bedding on my own (hence the stairway) but it is easier with 2

I should add a PS. It doesn´t help when you have a four-legged friend "helping" you once you are inside the duvet cover :-D :-D

or it could be I miss stairs !

I decided to change the bedding this evening, because I would normally have done it tomorrow, but the painter arrives early am, NOT just any painter but an "artiste" (he better be the price I am paying him ha ha )
Anyway I decided to change the bed tonight .......after already having moved the bed against a wall, in the middle of the room .....confused yet ?

None of that matters really it´s just a bit of background as to why I was changing the bed so late as I normally do so in the morning so I can air the bed. Anyway we have a king duvet ...., it´s one of the things you do when you have animals (or an Other duvet hugging Half ).

Tonight I decided to ....wait for it ......put the clean duvet cover on whilst taking the old cover off :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

It didn´t work I ended up climbing in to straighten the to`out :-D and that is where I wished I still had my stairs so I could hang on to one end and shake the rest over the banister. It was so easy :-D
