apart from being microchipped and first set of injections, my cat - a rescue job - has only been to the vets twice in eleven years - following damage by another cat - he's the most gorgeous cat I've ever had - I love him to bits and dread the day when I no longer have him - he's someone to come home to - rather than an empty house

I haven´t caught Mama cat nor have I tried.
Worrying is I haven´t seen any of them recently apart the nasty tabby daddy who peed on my solarium before Mini saw him off.
I have also seen the little black kitten now cat yesterday and what ever was wrong with the leg is fine now.
Mama cat must be due her next lot of kittens soon but I hope she has decided mine is a no go area . :-D :-D.

That was the other problem I had with the cat lady Mama cat was pregnant and I wasn´t sure what they were going to do.

I rarely take my cats to the vets.
I've only had 1 cat inoculated - once.
All my cats are spayed - so that's one visit each
I took George to the vets at 10 months after his argument with a vehicle which broke his jaw - and a couple of return journeys.
They (George and his siblings) are now 9.
I expect to take them to the vets slightly more frequently in the next 6 years - but not constantly. Betty (long haired) has 'occasions' when she pulls her fur out (like now - reason - fireworks).
When the fireworks stop, they will all have their 3 monthly (not monthly) dose of flea stuff, Betty will stop pulling her fur out and all will be harmonious.

My Tommy, who despised me for being an idiot, would disappear ten minutes before he was due to go in the basket for the vets.

Little sod could tell the time!

Shirley~I,m getting the hang of it Report 6 Nov 2015 19:00

we only had our new rescued cat Mr Tibbs for 3 months when hubby took ill and was hospitalized .

Mr Tibbs was settling in and getting used to both of us . Me being the feeder he was more at ease with but he would sit on hubbies lap in the lounge and climb on him in bed for a cuddle

Hubby asked every time i visited him "how is MR TIBBS"??

When hubby came home after 7 weeks Mr Tibbs virtually ignored him . He did jump up onto the bed a couple of times but jumped off again. Hubby was a bit put out but accepted that I had become his focus in the 7 weeks so we had bonded

Funny thing is after hubby was hospitalized again and the bed was still in situ Tibbs decided it was a good place to kip in so I had to leave it made up till it was collected on this Monday as Tibbs was clawing and trying to get down to the mattress

Think he was smelling hubby and looking for him

They aint daft

the bed is gone and Mr Tibbs is now settled again

No surprise that this thread is about cats. love ém hate ém, they are here to stay.

Last week I had a natter to my insurance agents secretary about all the strays we have around here. We have 1 who had a litter a few months ago (she has had 4 litters since I have been her) anyway I was talking about a little black kitten who appears to have a damaged leg (recent). I was also saying if they conrinue to try and live on my solarium they are not going to survive as Mini is a cat hater.

Anyway today somebody came out complete with cage/trap etc with the intention of catching the mother cat to spay her and then bring her back. As they say and I agree you can´t tame a complete feral, even the kittens at 4mths are too old to home.
They will keep her until she has the litter she is pregnant with and then spay her.

Wiley young lass she is and refused to be caught.
(I think I grinned inside)

So off went the cat catcher but she left me the trap to catch Mama cat :-0 :-0

Yea I am really gonna come here puddies, with my grumpy old granny DOG going yeah come here puddies with a grin on her face ;-)

Not going to happen unless I find the injured kitten :-D
