This year does seem to have been particularly bad. I quite like a good organised firework display and there is one on the field at the end of our little cul de sac, starting at 6 pm and finishing early. That was last night and even that was extra loud this year. But there seem to have been a lot of random parties this year, including one that was letting off very loud bangers at 1 am. And we live in a quiet area of town!

It's awful, isn't it.
At least I can cast off any guilt I may feel using my electric hedge trimmer or chainsaw! I usually stop after an hour, and only use it at 'reasonable' hours :-D
So anyone wishing to complain, who set off fireworks - &%$£&&&

Edit - another 'depth charge' at 00:29, that vibrated the window :-|
Edit - another couple at 00:54 and 0057 - and no, I can't report them as I don't know where it came from!!! .....and isn't it their 'right' ?
I really would like to go to bed.......

It's been the same here. More fireworks tonight than there was on Thursday. It has only just quietened down but there is still the odd very loud bang every now and then. Some of them sound like bombs going off!!

:-|

For 6 days, fireworks have been going off from about 6:30 until 8 ish.
Tonight they started at 5:30 - and are still going on - albeit not in such density.
I phoned my sister at 9:00pm - usually I phone her at about 7:30pm, but I couldn't hear the TV,(on full volume) let alone make a phone call.
There was a lull at 9:00pm, I called her - but had to end the call, as they started up again , and I couldn't hear her. :-| She could hear them, despite all doors, windows being closed.

I live on a hill on an estate. Those living lower down set off their fireworks, and they explode level with my house :-(
The noise is intensified by it ricocheting off the houses along the street.
I end up with about £50 worth of dead fireworks in my garden - one year I had 3 rockets in my pond, and a few dead fish.
I'm just glad for the rain we've had over the past 5 days - at least my shed has a chance of not being burnt down.

I managed to feed 2 of my cats, but the third came down from hiding in my bedroom, only for a distant bang to happen - and she was upstairs again like a rocket.
I let one out for a pee - only for another 'random' explosion to take place, luckily I'd left the kitchen door open for him to make a quick return from outside.

It is now 11:55, it isn't November 5th - and they're still going off.

..but hey, it's their 'right', it's a free country!! S*d anyone else.

Midnight will bring Remembrance Sunday. What a lovely tribute to our dead, injured, maimed, and PTSD soldiers - 'here mate - do you remember this noise'
