Been shopping this morning, got a few pressies too. We send some abroad, so not only do I have to check the size, I also have to check the weight. Blinking nuisance.

Just popped in before I do the pick-up from after school club. Took me ages to get back what with roadwork lights, normal traffic lights, roundabouts, another b***** traffic census and, sadly, there appears to have been a serious accident in town.

GP, tried the Bowburn Hall for lunch? Prices have gone up but food very nice. I couldn't do it every week but occasionally my cousin and I meet there. New chef, new menu, good tucker at the moment. It may be a distance too far though when Newcastle has some nice eateries.

I'm off but will be back after dropping the young 'un off and having coffee with daughter.
