I had to tick the pictures boxes yesterday, to confirm that I wasn't a robot......... THEN I was asked for my google address!

I don't have a google address, and I don't want one!

I can live without that website.

I have been asked this question on several sites, but I haven't had pictures yet. I usually have a row of weird shaped letters to copy.

On one site I was asked to prove I was not a robot by choosing from half a dozen pictures. I had to pick the one showing mountains. The trouble was there were 3 pictures that could qualify. In the end I picked the one that looked most craggy and it seemed to be the right one. I can only assume the other two possibles were showing hills!

Thankyou both for your for the advise, I'm not too used to using computers except for the easy stuff, and I was a little worried.
You hear so much of officail sites being hacked.

It is OK, Virgin do ask the robot question from time to time, sometimes you have to make a selection from half a dozen pictures to prove you are not a robot.

They are currently transferring everyone on to a revised email system which may be the reason in your case.

Look at the URL - a secure site normally has a little padlock at the far left of the url.
Some sites might have it on the bottom right corner of the screen.

I was trying to up date a site of my new email address with virgin. I logged on at virgin first and had no trouble, But having updated a site I was told I would have to reactivate my account and that they had sent me a message to my new address, so I tried to log in to my virgin account again the usual boxes for my address and password come up, but also a new box asking me if I was a robot. please tick to confirm you are not a robot!
I was worried in case this was some sort scam so I've abandoned the thing for the time being.
I was wondering if anyone on here could shed any light on this.
