They're about 3 inches long, and they fly!

Not sure why she is worried - it says the mites are symbiotic with the cockroach :-S

The time has come (for those of us not organised enough to buy them in the sales) to think of Christmas presents.
One of my grandson's birthdays is on 30 December.
He love insects.
I thought of the perfect present, a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, and sent my daughter this list, extolling the virtues of such a pet:
