Hi Annx

I haven't been directly affected, but I have undertaken work for one local government that involved assessing damage to properties in the immediate aftermath of a bushfire. Not very pleasant at all.

We also went to Albany just after the Northcliffe Bushfires earlier this year. Many hundred of hectares of bush destroyed.

You are right about the wildlife, but also in the current fire in the Esperance Shire an estimated 15,000 sheep have died. :-(

What a horrid death to be in a car and yet not able to get away. I expect lots of wildlife will be destroyed to. Have you ever been affected by bushfires yourself Allan?

Tragically, four people are confirmed dead in Bush fires raging in the south east region of WA, in the Esperance Shire.

Many bushfires throughout WA were ignited by lightning strikes in recent thunderstorms.

Due to the extremely dry winter, all areas are tinder dry and are extremely prone to bush fires :-(
