"Access invaluable pre-1837 Parish and Probate records "
In Premium, not in Essentials.

One of my family groups were all baptised at St Mary, Bexley. Ancestry has the records for them within a set 1835-1860. The page header indicates that records are available 1813-1925.

Do not know about Devon. Post a name & year and I will have a look.

If you only want details of a few records I and/or other members would be happy to help.

EDIT
There seem to be a few:-

Name:
John Smith

Gender:
Male

Baptism Date:
28 Sep 1740

Baptism Place:
Seaton and Beer,Devon,England

Father:
Robert Smith

Mother:
Anne

FHL Film Number:
916932

You can get exactly the same parish records from family search as on ancestry with a much better search facility to boot. FREE

David

you might also want to try the following site, which is also free

http://freereg2.freereg.org.uk/

It is still very much a work in progress as volunteers transcribe the Parish Registers, so you may not yet find anything

Another site to check out, which is free but also still a work in progress as volunteers do the work if the OnLine Parish Clerks

http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/online_parish_clerk

The Lancashire site (lancs-opc) is excellent, others are not yet up to scratch.

This is the link to what is happening in Devon ...........

Re FamilySearch ................. do be careful to keep to the Records. Do NOT stray away to user-submitted information, as much of this type of information cannot be verified and often seems to be "made up" to fit what the user wants to believe!

If you don't know, familysearch is run by the Mormon Church

Shirley said that you can look at the microfilm(s) at any local branch of the Church ......... this is not strictly true.

I live in a rather large city, and the one local Mormon branch does NOT allow one to consult microfilms, and were even reluctant to get microfilms in for you to take away. I grant you that my information is years old for this branch .......I contacted them once and never again!
