the Coca Cola truck

I have only tasted coke twice, and both made me sick!! :-( :-( :-(

And I had better admit that I hadn't heard of the truck until I read this thread. So, did a bit of googling and the nearest it got to us was Glasgow - two weeks ago!! I don't like large towns and only go to Glasgow about twice a year, so I wouldn't have seen it anyway.

Can't say I mind much, although it sounds like fun for the kids. :-) :-)

Thanks for the warning about the truck. I've just checked and we've got it weaving through our oneway system on a Saturday!

Good thing I rarely go near the town on a Saturday :-D

Try boiling a piece of gammon in CC. It's delicious. I did that a couple of years ago for our Christmas Eve get-together and three people have already asked if I'll cook it like that this year as they enjoyed it so much.

I think I got the idea from Nigella as I did the year I cooked a proper pavlova with pomegranate seeds all over the top - and that went down well too.

Same here Sue. I think I've drunk it a few times in my 'youff' - when I was drunk!!

But I'll probably go down and see it trying to get either into or out of Winchester, then walk back home, watching traffic queues grow :-D

*Probably in to - on my way into town.

so Chester, Bournemouth and Nottingham - be prepared!!!

Asda here has one entrance in and one out, straight on to the M4 at Jct 32 - you can only get there by car - so no sensible planning in place

I had an appointment in Colwyn Bay at 4.30 yesterday...I was late for it as the bay was gridlocked as the coca cola truck was in town......I parked a long way away and had to walk...kiddies were loving it as there were lots of side shows and rides and stalls.lights balloons bubbles etc..never seen so many people.good job it was dry.

Took my hours to get home from work in town to north Cardiff Ann. Seems a daft place to have it-one road in and out of Asda.
It was a lot better when it was in the city centre. At least people could catch the bus or train to see it there. Everyone has to drive to get to Asda. Lots of disappointed children around tonight who were turned away from the site.
I hope nobody was seriously hurt in the accidents. :-(

AnnCardiff Report 3 Dec 2015 20:10

is visiting local Asda, just up the road from me off Jct 32 of the M4 - the truck along with several accidents has put virtually the whole of Cardiff in gridlock - my son is stuck in it - he was coming to visit me before going to pick his wife up from work - he had to abandon the visit and is now stuck on a road not too far from me and is unable to move - Wales on Line shows the gravity of it all - and all due to a Coca Cola van :-( :-( :-(
