Perth did have rain, Barbra, but only 4 - 10 mm. However, it was the coldest December day for over 50 years, so all the little'uns taking part (Dance troupes etc) would have been extremely uncomfortable.

Some families visiting Perth from the Country areas would have booked hotel accommodation :-(

As for wild weather, the wind was howling here at 3.00am today and there were blustery showers

It looks like it would have been enormous event .such a shame when they are cancelled but safety first eh . :-)

Perth Christmas Pageant cancelled:

It was cancelled due to weather conditions. :-(

However, although not due to start until 7.30 pm, the worst of the weather seems to have been well south of Perth. There may be more to come.

I understand the reasons, but there will be very many disappointed children :-(

Usually, following the Pageant, Perth's Christmas lights are turned on
