Yes, of course :-D

See you later.

Gonna get started on dinner soon. I am getting very good at supervising.

Coming over a bit black here, they have forecast rain for later. But nowhere near as bad as some poor souls.

I really feel for them.

May be back later.
:-) <3

Hi Lyn and Maddie <3 <3

Good for you Maddie. :-D

Lyn, it's lovely here now, went out in short sleeves to pick up the potted tree with OH. We've moved it to the side of the house. Yesterday it was not at all good though. :-S

Thanks girls, I feel much better now. Sounds daft, but until you lose use of your foot, you don't realise how much you need it. :-D :-D :-D

Only fresh stuff to get..............so I can stop fretting now.

Afternoon All. Hope you are all safe, well and warm.

Terrible scenes on the news. I cannot imagine how it wold to be underwater. It seems to happen in one place or the other most years. Some areas cannot get home insurance I am led to believe because of the dangers.

Well I am dead chuffed, I managed to shuffle into a car, and got taken shopping. So I feel so much better now to know I have got my grub in for Christmas.

So no fry up for Christmas Dinner after all.

:-D :-D :-D

Hi GiN :-D <3 all fine here we only had the wind and very little rain :-)

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 6 Dec 2015 13:34

Good. It's about time someone got his finger out.

Now perhaps they can find someone who really knows about flood defences as the last measures have obviously proved useless.

I know nothing about flood measures but if the sewers are OK and it's down to flooded rivers and heavy rain, perhaps a man-made lake or reservoir could be the answer along with canals and tributary diversion. There must be something experts can do to alleviate the suffering of those poor people. It's happening to them too often.

Afternoon folks :-D :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3 <3

I've been looking at the devastation on the news too - it's terrible :-0

Good to know that your part of Scotland hasn't been affected, Emma <3

Looks like it has been bad with you though, Joy :-( <3

Only windy here, but nothing major. Is it OK with you, Fly? <3

Fly

Fly Report 6 Dec 2015 13:23

Joy they are sending the army in to help in those area's :-)

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 6 Dec 2015 13:20

I thought it was too.

The floods in the Lakes, especially around the Keswick area, are dreadful. There was a toy shop owner speaking this morning and he has lost some stock at this, the busiest time of his year. However, he did say that the community rallied round and bought locally which is a good thing.

Hi Emma <3

Our weather's fairly decent too.

Just went to the front door to hang the Christmas wreath and discovered that the terrific wind we had yesterday evening had blown over a six-feet conical pine and the two-feet tall heavy pot it was planted in. It was stood right next to the wall of the house too. Pity the poor folk who had real damage.
