yay! :-D

I've been managing with one crutch for the last few weeks; on Friday I bought a walking stick, managed fine with it, so I took the crutches back to the physio this morning.

Then I had some errands......... newsagent, chemist, bank, gift shop, dress shop & supermarket.

Phew!

By the time that was over (two hours) I was absolutely cream-crackered!!! :-(

On top of that.......... stupid women & their obnoxious children....... kids running & screaming, & their mothers saying "darling, please don't do that"

Grrrrrrrr...... I have a new stick, and I was sooooo tempted!

Well done Scozz, you're getting there.

Have you thought about a walking stick with a large hook for a handle?????? ;-)

Merry Christmas and I hope a walking stick and pain free 2016. <3 :-D

well done!!

a walking stick is a wonderful weapon ............. you just let it slip on the pavement accidentally as the pest runs past or in front of you.

it trips them up beautifully!

Just make sure you are well balanced, and be suitably ironically abject with apologies :-D :-D

lol Pat....... I've been wondering if I could trade my cane in for a cattle prod :-D

I'm really careful when I go out, I stand back or walk away if I see anyone who may bump into me (it's amazing, how many people walk backwards in shops!)........... but I can't do anything when kids run screaming down the aisles of the supermarket.

The supermarket used to have little carts, supposed to be for kids who wanted to "help mummy shop", but the rotten kids used to have races up and down the aisles and crash into people........... the kiddie carts are long gone!

The specialist told me I would be at least three months on the crutches, and between 4 & 6 months before I could walk unaided........ I'm really pleased that I've got rid of the crutches after three months, but I don't think I'll be ready to stop using the cane by mid January........ I think 4 months may work for someone 30 years younger than I am. :-D
