afternoon all :-D :-D

what a piggin' 'orrible day here - not stopped raining for one minute - lots of lying water on the roads and the gutters and drains are overflowing :-( :-( :-( :-(

been out with my neighbour - she's from Bristol and unfamiliar with the area, so I took her to Wellfield Road, which is a short road in the suburbs full of lovely individual little shops - in spite of the rain we had a nice time

Fly, I hope your brake pipe does not cost too much to repair. Any added expense at this time of year is something we could all do without so I hope they can fix i for at reasonable price and in one day.

Mersey, I hope Nan and Mum are OK today.

To everyone else, whatever you're doing, enjoy the day and ignore the rotten weather.

Dull, murky and gloomy here but it did not stop me meeting for a coffee and then off to me old muckers for lunch. Hubby was doing his voluntary bit today (two or three times a week usually). Don't think I don't do any cos I do - I is a good girl!

Got back just in time to visit the reading room before doing the school run only to get a phone call saying I don't have to do the school run but did I want to meet them for coffee. I am never one to turn a coffee and natter down, so YES. :-D :-D

Close your ears people but my daughter is as daft about Christmas as I am so I am expecting a good and riotous laugh over coffee. :-S :-S Also, she is much more lively and outspoken than I am - honest folks! I love her for it but she doesn't halve keep me on my toes. I have to be quick-thinking around her to keep up with her otherwise she'll tell me I'm slowing down.

Son's due back from Asia at weekend so I should see him some time next week. He's definitely the quiet child. Granddaughter is meeting me in Durham for lunch tomorrow. She's the one always singing - has done four gigs this year but is still at school. All-in-all, this is proving to be a more active week than I was expecting. Still, it's always good to talk, as they say. Jaw, jaw, jaw, jaw-ache :-0

The forecast for my corner of Kent is for a cloudy day with the odd spot of light rain this morning :-( but the rain will turn heavier and become more persistent this afternoon and evening :-( despite this it should feel a tad milder than it was yesterday :-) as temperature will be hovering around 52°F today :-)

And as we rush around buying presents and getting ready to celebrate on Christmas Day :-) we mustn't forget that each new day of life is a gift :-) a gift we should celebrate and be thankful for :-) because yesterday is history :-) tomorrow a mystery :-) but today is a gift :-) that's why they call it the present ;-)

By the way do you know that you only have 10 sleeps between today Tuesday 15th December 2015 and Christmas Day :-D
