We did win a ham....... it's sitting in the fridge, whispering to me :-D I'm ignoring it until Christmas day.

But one of the early birds nearly got battered with my stick on Friday.

For some strange, stupid reason, he thought it would be "funny" to pretend to grab my walking stick, or pretend to kick it! What an idiot. Not once, not twice, but several times. I pointed my stick in the general direction of his...... er..... dangly bits... and asked him which one he wanted to keep. :-0 That didn't work, he just kept laughing (yeah, huge joke, make someone who had an operation on her leg fall over!)......... anyway, I told DH who is a LARGE man and he had a word, a very LOUD word........ and the stupidity stopped.

There hasn't been an early 'phone call since the 6.30am one...... thank goodness!

I might wait.... and 'phone them all really early (5am?) on New Year's morning and shout......... HAPPY NEW YEAR!

:-D

well our "new" cat we got in June from the local Cats Protection Society took couple of weeks to settle in and then decided 6am was a good time to be fed

he made such a nuisance of himself that i would give up and go down to feed him .

he was more inclined to me cos i fed him but would go on hubby's lap during the day for a stroke and cuddle .

When hubby was hospitalized then I was the main carer so when hubby came home he did jump up for a few mins for a stroke and interaction from hubby but he wasnt that bothered

After hubby was transferred to the hospice and passed away I had to keep the bed in our lounge stocked up with pillows etc cos the cat wanted to get on the bed and scratch around

The bed went a week later then the cat decided hubby's armchair was where he wanted to lay in or scratch.

SOO iam usually up around 6.30 onwards

This morning I was up and had fed the cat and was having my first caffeine fix of a coffee and the front door bell went

Bee Hell who is ringing it at 6.30am!! well it was a postman delivering a parcel for our granddaughter,(she works in London so isnt home during the day so gets things delivered to our address)

BUT 6.30am is a bit steep !!

I plan on a little rant on Friday........ at the golf club!!!

There will be a raffle........ Christmas hams.........

If belting the early risers around the ears with my walking stick doesn't get their attention, maybe a belt with a leg of ham will! :-D

I'm buying lots of tickets lol

I could do something much worse.......... tell their wives :-D

Lady Scozz
The next time you wake up during the night , give them a call, then switch off the telephone and go back to bed.

We don't all wake up at the crack of dawn!

I do wake up early, I don't have the curtains closed & the sun wakes me up.

BUT....... I don't like 'phone calls too early (who does?)

This week, DH's golf "buddies" have been calling to arrange a round of golf, usually between 7 & 7.30am..........

This morning, one of them 'phoned at 6.45am!!!!!!!!!

I am going to start 'phoning them at 11 at night.

As I said, I do wake up early, usually, but if I've had a "bad" night (my leg isn't fully healed, and I can wake up in some discomfort and have trouble getting back to sleep)........... these "buddies" know this...... but do they care?

:-P

rant over

for now

:-)
