Hello all my lovely friends <3 <3 <3

I have had a really brilliant day :-D :-D :-D

As you all know it started off with that ring on the door bell <3 <3 <3 wonderful surprise <3

Then out to the party. 50 of us catered for, tables all set out beautifully too.

Pate with toast, really yummy, then a chicken roast with all the trimmings followed by chocolate gateaux. They ran out of xmas pud :-D :-D and I mustn't forget a couple of glasses of wine !

during our meal there was a lady singing loads of songs then 2 guitar players, looked like old teddy boys with lovely voices singing all the old well known songs. A lot of us got up and danced and a chap asked me to dance too. Held me rather too close for comfort if I remember rightly. My friend said she thinks I had pulled !!

;-) ;-)

Then Santa came in with 2 elves and we took it in turns to sit on his lap :-D :-D

I told him I had been a really good girl and my prezzie was a little snowman that lit up and changed colour. :-D :-D

A really lovely day from start to finish :-D <3 <3

I've been with both children and every grandchild. Like McD's, it's a right of passage for the young, I think.

JoyLouise Report 23 Dec 2015 18:30

It's brought to mind the time when chicken and chips in a basket was all the rage - many moons ago, of course. I think I had my first one in Dorset when I was staying with an aunt there.

:-D

I've never been to a KFC since about 1981 :-0 :-D ;-)

I saw the documentary about them a few months ago - it put me off, especially about how they make the gravy - but as long as you all enjoy it .............. ;-) ;-) :-D

A bucket of chook, Emma. <3

Mind you, seeing the size of the drinks that are sold nowadays, it will not be long before they do serve the soft drinks in a bucket :-S
