Good post Uzzi, It's the time of year when missing the people who were in your life in the past, and all those happy Christmases come to mind vividly, and for some that is just too much to want to be without anymore.

It's also, coming up to the new year and seeing other people looking forward and planning, the time when your own mistakes are particularly apparent and you dwell on how different things might have been 'if only'...if only you had or if only you hadn't...or if only X hadn't...! While other people are making new years resolutions to stop doing something that is bad for them, you know that the bad thing has already happened and the consequences gone beyond the point of being rectified. Hope doesn't always 'spring eternal'.

This week is the week that there are the most suicides. The one´s that had nobody for Xmas will have nobody for the New Year, those that are life and soul of the party in summer can´t take the winter.
I am not just relating this from statistics but from living life, from losing friends to suicide at this time of year and from losing the old ones in my life. PLEASE check on friends and neighbours
