"It really does help the searcher as much as the people helping with that search, if there is continuity and the questions can be seen in context ( of the whole search not just snippets) .

No one is saying you 'can't' post on the 'wrong' board...but if you ( general 'you' not specific) scatter the queries like shot gun pellets here there and everywhere, it's likely that you won't get the best result...and that IS after all what we all want isn't it? getting the best results possible from a search, whether it's your own tree or helping someone else :-)"

Now perhaps someone would like to tell me what is wrong with it?

About as much wrong with it as there was with mine that preceded it :-D

I hadn't seen your post before it was reported Joonie, but I got the general impression it was along the lines of how best to ask for help and how best to give it...which seems to me quite reasonable advice offered by someone with considerable experience :-)

You have more patience than me ;-) I am giving up for the good of my health just as soon as I finish that one last search :-)

Nothing wrong with your post, good advice I would say. xx

Thank you Sylvia, it certainly wasn't intended to offend so I'm glad to see that 60 odd people have read it without feeling it needs to be reported. :-)

well, there is no rhyme or reason as to why the RR'er reports most posts!
